When he was youth player,Londoner Jamie was often on the wrong side of the law and in 1990,aged 20,he went to prison for robbery.He was scouted by Sunderland whilst he was inside by Terry Butcher.He signed on non-contract terms in 1994 after his release.
He then had a brief stay at Doncaster before moving to Leicester in 1995,who were struggling.He spent two years at Filbert Street and made 41 appearances.
His big move came when he completed a deal to sign for Bradford in 1997.He was a bargain for Chris Kamara's team and cost £50,000.He earned promotion to the top flight and then became recognisable for his hair styles and dyes.He left the Bantams in 2003 to look elsewhere.
Brief spells at Wigan,Walsall,Brentford and non-contract terms at Grimsby under Russell Slade.After a career in the professional stages,he moved to the lower non-leagues.
He eventually retired in 2009 aged 39.The reason was due to a knee injury he sustained whilst jogging.Since he quit,he has worked for soccer schools in London.
He lives in London with his wife.
