HUDDERSFIELD 0-0 DONCASTER

Doncaster and Huddersfield could not cancel each other out in a stalemate of a Yorkshire derby which had some controversy.

After 10 minutes,Theo Robinson thought he'd given Donny the lead in the match but the referee judged him to have fouled Alex Smithies.

Ten minutes later,Doncaster defender Bongani Khumalo tripped up Adam Hammill in the box.Referee Paul Tierney gave nothing much to the midfielder's frustration.

Huddersfield also felt unlucky in the stoppage time at the end of the first half.James Vaughan wanted a penalty for a foul but was booked for diving, sending the teams into the break goalless.

50 minutes gone, and Hammill was at it again.Trickery saw him pass Cotterill and the defence but Turnbull ensured it remained 0-0 with a superb stop. Not long after,Sean Scannell headed wide for Town.

Ten minutes were left, and Jon Stead wanted a go at trying Ross Turnbull. However, the striker had his shot held by the Rovers goalkeeper.

It was in stoppage time that Huddersfield had one final chance to get the three points but it wasn't to be-Calum Woods' long ball was unsuccessfully lobbed over by Stead.0-0 it ended,in an exciting game.

VIEW FROM THE TOUCHLINE

HUDDERSFIELD BOSS MARK ROBINS
"It was a fair result and although we tried to kill off them off more,we weren't clinical in front of their goal."

"That being said,I think that we'd have scored on any other day.It just wasn't happening for us."

DONCASTER BOSS PAUL DICKOV
"I think that we deserved a penalty in the first half;it was a clear handball from the centre back."

"I can't complain now obviously, but I will give some credit to Ross Turnbull who was in fine form .We are competitive and have proven we can go for it on the day,so that's pleasing to see."
