GETTING AWAY:YORK CITY

The Capital One Cup tie against York will be the first time in eleven years

Doncaster have played the Ministermen at Bootham Cresent.York, who came close to a date at Wembley in the League Two playoffs last season, want to have another good campaign and will prove a tough test.

Doncaster played York in 2012,scraping the win on penalties in the competition.Rovers were promoted to the Championship and York survived in League Two by one point.

If you are going to this somewhat derby match, here's what you need to know

TRAIN
The main station is twenty minutes by foot so a lot of fans get taxis. If you want to walk it and see the sights, weather permitting, this is the route to take:

Leave the station and take a left.Follow the City Walls on your right until you go under them and then continue to follow with them on your left. When they stop, cross the river and continue ahead until the traffic lights (York Minster ahead). Turn left into St Leonards place and follow until the next traffic lights (Art Gallery on left). Turn left and you are on Bootham (A19).Follow this for about a third of a mile passing on your right The Exhibition and Bootham tavern pubs then lots of big Edwardian terraces. Bootham Crescent will appear on your right with a Zebra at the top of it.

PARKING
Usually,if you arrive early, there are parking spaces on Burton Stone Lane.Or use the NCP in the city centre and walk if you want to.

PRE-MATCH PINT
There is a highly recommend supporters bar called the Pitchside Bar that overlooks the away end.The club often has Sky TV showing live football.A lot of fans both home and away enjoy the vibe in the bar.
