OPPONENTS GUIDE #11:LEICESTER CITY(H)

High-flying Leicester come to Doncaster on Saturday hoping to continue what has been a fantastic start to the season for the Foxes.

The club have experienced high and lows in the past five years.In 2008,they were relegated to League One on the final day of the season.But it did get better and they won the title in 2009 to get back into the second tier.The time in League One was the lowest in their history.

Leicester have also won the League Cup three times and the old Second Division title six times.

THE GROUND-KING POWER STADIUM
Formerly the Walkers due to the crisp factory,the Foxes officially moved here in 2002 after leaving Filbert Street.It was unveiled by Gary Lineker that year,who arrived in a Walkers lorry.

THE GAFFER-NIGEL PEARSON
Former Sheffield Wednesday player Pearson is now in his second spell at Leicester.In his first(2008-10),he guided them to the title in an almost undefeated season.

He left his position as their manager in 2010 for Hull,where he stayed for fifteen months before re-joining Leicester in a bid to achieve promotion.He also managed Paul Dickov at Leicester in his first spell!

KASPER SCHMEICHEL-PETER'S LAD
27-year-old Kasper has followed in his father's footsteps and has himself become a professional goalkeeper.Although his dad saw the highs of Europe and winning titles,Kasper has seen Nottts County earn promotion and Leeds finish 9th in the Championship.

WES MORGAN-THE CAPTAIN
Wes was a product of the Nottingham Forest academy and he signed a professional deal when he was 18.He spent ten years in Nottingham and made over 300 appearances.

He joined Leicester on a free transfer in the summer of 2013 and is a solid defender.

PAUL GALLAGHER-PROLIFIC PLAYER
Paul joined Leicester on a two-year-deal after being released by Blackburn in 2009.He had a good first season and finished joint-top scorer in a season which saw the Foxes miss out on promotion.Known for his volleys,he really is a tough player to break down.

ANTHONY KNOCKAERT-IL AIME LE FOOT!
Anthony had been a part-timer in France until three years ago when he joined Ligue 1 Sedan.However,he wasn't used much and when he was offered a deal by Leicester,he had to accept.The pacy 23-year-old partners Jeff Schlupp or Dean Hammond when he plays.

JAMIE VARDY-LAYS THE FOUNDATIONS
Jamie has had a dream career change that has happened over two years.He was a bricklayer before joining Fleetwood in 2011 and best was to come.He was their top scorer with 32 goals in 36 games which is a club record.He is now regarded one of the Cod Army's best ever player.

Leicester paid a fee of £400,000 for him lasts year.It was beneficial to Fleetwood who built a superb squad who currently are 6th in League Two.

CHRIS WOOD-LOAN MADE PERMANENT
New Zealander Chris has simply been a terrific loan and was last term,scoring a hat-trick on his debut away at Bristol City.He now has signed for Leicester and can be used up front or on the wing depending on the formation.
