QPR 2-1 DONCASTER ROVERS

A late header from prolific Championship striker Charlie Austin snatched a late win for QPR,but it wasn't enough for the Hoops to get into the top two.

The first chance in the heavy rain saw Onuoha tackle Theo Robinson successfully in the nick of time and conceded the first corner of the game.Duffy whipped it in,Macheda struck over.On four minutes,Joey Barton hit the ball straight at Turnbull.

QPR's first real chance came from a set play.Charlie Austin's foot met the ball but it hit the bar.An attempt worth trying in the long run.

After many more chances,it was Doncaster who led through striker THEO ROBINSON.QPR didn't deal with a break and Robinson was left to slot the ball I to the net before the interval.1-0 Rovers.

MATT PHILLIPS reignited QPR's flame in the second half with an equalising goal on fifty five minutes. The midfield played the key role in creating the goal.A scramble to clear the ball meant Paul Quinn couldn't reach and Phillips tapped home.

Half an hour left.Duffy's corner was punched wide by Robert Green to Richie Wellens who produced a save from the shot stopper. The next corner was cleared by the defence.

Late on,and it seemed a draw was the result.Traore was substituted and them Barton fired wide. But it was to be a tragic end for Rovers.Deep into added time,Charlie Austin headed the winner to keep the pressure on the top four.Rovers slip into the drop zone.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

QPR BOSS HARRY REDKNAPP
"We left it late like we did last week but it was certainly worth the wait."

"Charlie Austin has been a valuable member of the squad all season and today he shook of his price tag for yet another time. His header was superb.I put on abhor striker at the break because we'd had a bad first half and it paid off."

DONCASTER BOSS PAUL DICKOV
"It's very, very rare you lose a game and the fans applaud at the end like today. And it was what the team deserved because they all put in 100%."

"We lost narrowly but we certainly felt as though we could win, nevermind draw.Paul Quinn was a shining example to Liam Wakefield again as well."
