GERRARD:'KEEPERS SHOWING PROMISE"

Goalkeeping coach Paul Gerrard has told BBC Sheffield how the two trialist goalkeepers at Doncaster Rovers are showing promising signs of being good players.

Ben Williams and Jamie Ashdown have been at the club now for three weeks,with the two fighting to sign a deal.

30-year old Williams,a former Manchester United trainee,last played for Hibernian in the SPL but left following relegation to the second tier.Ashdown,31,previously played for Portsmouth and was in the FA Cup winning side of 2008.

Both goalkeepers have impressed manager Paul Dickov on the training pitch and Williams has been described by the boss as an 'ideal' goalkeeper.
