LEEDS UNITED 1-2 DONCASTER ROVERS

Torrid times at Leeds are getting worse. They face a possible ten point deduction and they're losing over £1,000,000 a month according to reports. The 2-1 defeat to Doncaster hasn't helped.

Fans showed their anger towards the board through chanting in the first half. The chanting did nothing to stop Doncaster from scoring after twenty three minutes at Elland Road.DAVID COTTERILL fired a free kick from twenty yards into the net.

Leeds had some better chances after going behind, with top scorer Ross McCormack missing the target. The goals he's scored could prove crucial if Leeds are to see some positivity.

It worsened for Leeds when BILLY SHARP made it 2-0 before the break. The striker fired under the goalkeeper in stoppage time.

The first fifteen minutes saw Leeds have several penalty shouts go against them.Sam Johnstone tripped up Matt Smith in the area but nothing was given.Sam Byram felt more annoyed when Coppinger smashed his arm into his face.

Leeds did pull it back to 2-1 thanks to ROSS McCORMACK's header.A cross into the box wasn't marked and the Scot headed home to set up a tense remainder.

Leeds continued to show more initiative in their play, and Smith had a header tipped over by Johnstone. The 21-year-old is finding form at last in his career.

The latter also had to punch a shot by Jason Pearce over the crossbar but it was the 724 away fans who roared at the whistle.Doncaster look more likely to stay up and Leeds seemed depleted

VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

"The court hearing over our financial situation is on Monday. The focus is and has been on that for most of the week and today,in hindsight, wasn't too important."

"Once the issues here are solved,we can feel settled at last.Forget about me.The priority is the club."

DONCASTER BOSS PAUL DICKOV
"The only word I can use is brilliant. The whole team as a unit were simply that."

"We are closer to safety in the league thankfully and the fans are urging us on to do more and keep going which I feel is so vital."

"You can't talk about staying up just yet because I don't know about that.We have no points target."
