FLEETWOOD TOWN 3-1 DONCASTER ROVERS

Fleetwood's good start to life as a League One team continued at home with an impressive 3-1 win over Doncaster Rovers.

The Cod Army took the lead early on through loanee striker STEPHEN DOBBIE.The Welsh striker found the ball when it was deflected into his path and he smashed it into the net after just ten minutes.

Doncaster took only seven minutes to pull it back.NATHAN TYSON scored the goal after his shot was struck low, with help from a Stephen Jordan deflection.1-1,and the game was on.

Fleetwood continued to press hard and chances came from David Ball and Gareth Evans, but it was another loan player who scored for the home side.LIAM MCALINDEN scored two in two after heading in David Ball's cross.

Doncaster began the second half better and early on,Richie Wellens struck a freekick wide of the goal.Nathan Tyson then hit an effort just over Chris Maxwell's goal.Improvements certainly were being made.

The next action occurred on seventy-three minutes when JOSH MORRIS thumped a freekick past Jed Steer and made it harder for Paul Dickov's team to pull it back.3-1 to the hosts.

Doncaster repeatedly had chances to score, but they couldn't make it count and were the losers at the end of the day.
