DONCASTER ROVERS 0-2 LEYTON ORIENT

Leyton Orient scored twice in the second half to defeat Doncaster on a cold Yorkshire evening, and certainly put more pressure on Doncaster's Paul Dickov.

The early stages of the match began slowly but there was one thing clear-Orient would fight.Chris Dagnall tested Jed Steer from twenty yards in first minute. And they showed this when they went 1-0 through JAY SIMPSON who scored from inside the box after two minutes.

Doncaster responded well to going behind early on.James Coppinger struck over from five yards out and Richie Wellens hit a freekick wide of the post. This looked promising to say they'd lost at the weekend.

With half an hour gone,Nathan Tyson headed over from a Coppinger cross and Harry Forrester's turn and shot was palmed away by Gary Woods on his return to the Keepmoat.

The second half was not at all easy for Donny but they started well.Forrester nearly scored from a cross but mistimed it and Reece Wabara's corner was cleared by Woods.Doncaster also had a chance through McCombe.

On the hour mark,Orient doubled the lead.DARIUS HENDERSON knows South Yorkshire well, having played for Sheffield United. His volley from the edge of the box went into the top corner. The home bench looked on grimly.

Doncaster didn't do enough to respond to this and the defeat drags them to one point from the drop.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
DONCASTER BOSS PAUL DICKOV

"I asked for more tonight from the team and they gave me that, but didn't click in the game. The plus side is that we played better than on Saturday."

"League One is testing us to the limit and we have to match that standard. We work together and we are unlucky not to do anything."

LEYTON ORIENT CARETAKER BOSS KEVIN NUGENT

"I am so proud after that."

"The result was a full-on team effort by the boys and I have praise for the unity out there today.I couldn't ask for anymore and we feel more confidence."
