DONCASTER ROVERS 2-2 BARNSLEY

James Coppinger and Nick Proschwitz scored for their respective teams in a feisty South Yorkshire derby, marred by crowd trouble at the end.

Barnsley took the lead through NICK PROSCHWITZ after twenty six minutes.Sam Johnstone mistimed his run to catch the ball, allowing th German to pounce and poke the ball into the net.

Barnsley thought they'd doubled the lead two minutes later from a corner, but Martin Cranie was judged to have fouled debutant striker Jordan Bowery.

Disruption occurred in the away end with heated chanting being aimed at both sets of supporters.Police intervened to stop fighting in the Barnsley end, with two being arrested for violent behaviour.

Déjà vu kicked in during stoppage time.Luke Steele dropped the ball from James Husband's cross into COPPINGER'S path-he did the honours to make it 1-1.

Mark Duffy brightened up the a early part of the second period.A freekick was saved by opposing goalkeeper Luke Steele. But Doncaster led through the long-serving JAMES COPPINGER.Jordan Bowery slid the ball to Husband and he found Coppinger to tuck the ball under Steele.

Johnstone had to be in tip-top condition to keep the Tykes at bay.The 3000 travelling fans thought Proschwitz had pulled it back with a header, but it was tipped over.

With stoppage time looming,Chris O'Grady evaded Gabriel Tamas to find PROSCHWITZ.He tapped home to make the full time score 2-2.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

DONCASTER BOSS PAUL DICKOV
"We signed Jordan Bowery because, despite his age,he shows potential to the game.He was sold to Aston Villa for £250,000 by Chesterfield and that tells a lot.He is a good asset to the team."

"At 2-1 up against your closest rivals you have to put the game to bed. This can be done defensively or by attacking;we did neither."

"I feel as though we have dropped points but I reclutantly take a point today."

BARNSLEY BOSS DANNY WILSON
"We are slowly getting desperate to survive in the league. The perseverance is pleasing to see but that alone isn't going to be enough."

"Hopefully we can build on two straight draws and get some results."
