BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION 1-0 DONCASTER ROVERS

A goal from Argentinian forward Leonardo Ulloa was the difference between lowly Doncaster and an improving Brighton side.

The Seagulls were inspired by their manager's Spanish-based tactics early on.Andrea Orlandi crossed a ball into the box but it was cleared by Sam Johnstone out to the flanks. However,Stephen Ward retrieved it and found Ulloa, but he missed.Nine minutes played,0-0.

On twenty-five minutes,David Rodriguez passed to Dale Stephens to tee up March. The young talent missed the target from ten yards out.

Before the interval,Chris Brown and Mark Duffy missed good chances to score,Duffy blasting over a volley.

Sam Johnstone,a product of Manchester United's academy, pulled off some good saves with half an hour to go.Ulloa couldn't find the net because of a save, and Rohan Ince had a header tipped over.

Leonardo Ulloa has been out for six months following knee surgery. He was back with a bang-Stephen Ward created the cross into the box and ULLOA headed home with ten minutes left.

The last action saw Billy Sharp dismissed for kicking ex-Donny Man Gordon Greer to add to a miserable day down the coast.

VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

BRIGHTON BOSS OSCAR GARCIA
"The attitude today was very professional and the win was earned."

"We had the game under control for the whole 95 minutes, we created a lot of chances and we were confident that we would score."

"I think we fully deserved the win. We had some chances to score but we had to wait until Leo scored the goal."

DONCASTER BOSS PAUL DICKOV
On the red card
"Billy Sharp hasn't been scoring as much as he would've liked to and maybe he showed his frustration on the pitch.Ive checked the replay and his actions were not at all appropriate."

On the game
"We could've so easily got a point out if that.To withstand their attack for a mass percentage of the game showed how well we played."
