Dean Furman has been crowned PFA Jewish Footballer of the Year, and has thanked all those who have supported him in winning the prize.

The Doncaster and South Africa footballer explained how his religion has helped him in the beautiful game.

"I was born in a predominately Jewish family,I had a Bar Mitzvah and I live in a Jewish area of Manchester. It is good to be around people with the same upbringing as me and I had a supportive family in my career.I hope my influence certainly will inspire other footballers of different races",he explained.
