BOLTON WANDERERS 3-0 DONCASTER ROVERS

Bolton cruised to a more than comfortable win at the Reebok at the expense of an improving Doncaster team, who were looking to build on a draw and win.

The only Doncaster action saw Mark Duffy test Andy Lonergan in goal. The Scouser struck a volley just wide of the post shortly after being set up by Dean Furman.Bolton tried to frustrate Doncaster all afternoon, and their resilient attitudes were paying off.

JOE MASON joined on loan from Cardiff in what could be important for the Trotters.36 minutes went and the Irishman's deflected effort off Luke McCullough went into the net.And before half time,MORITZ doubled the lead with a near-post shot.

The home team looked more motivated in the second half of the match.Four chances from 60 to 70 minutes proved this.Darren Pratley hit the bar,Chris Eagles headed wide of the goal,Bongani Khumalo cleared Mortiz's low strike and former Rovers player Matt Mills had a header caught by Ross Turnbull.

In stoppage time,NEIL DANNS curled an effort into the net to round up the scoring. It's a win for the home team but a drop in confidence for Rovers, who face Leeds next weekend.

VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

DONCASTER BOSS PAUL DICKOV:
"Bolton came out on the front foot and we sat off them way too much, especially in the first half. The game was being played in one half early on. Overall, we looked a little bit leggy and half a yard short.

"I'm not going to say that we deserved to get anything out of the game because we didn't. Maybe it might have been that we have had five games in fourteen days with the same group of players, maybe it could had been one game too far in a short space of time with a small group.

"We are striving to get consistency, not just results but performances as well. We just have to keep positive."
