The home team scored after 29 minutes shortly after Doncaster loanee Enda Stevens(who coincidentally is contracted to Birmingham's other big team Aston Villa) made a defensive error, allowing NOVAK to run down the middle and strike a beautiful effort.
Before the break,Mark Duffy tried his luck from thirty yards only to miss the target.
Theo Robinson wanted to repeat his goal at home to QPR at the weekend. He tested Randolph, but he had it covered all along.Billy Paynter came on but hit the bar from a cross. Then came the brilliance thanks to DAVID COTTERILL.The man who celebrates his birthday tomorrow got the perfect present-blasting a 35 yarder into the top corner.
The last ten minutes saw the Donny strikers attempt to win the game.Macheda met the header from Paul Quinn but the ball went wide,Billy Paynter struck straight at Randolph and Coppinger struck a volley wide.It doesn't matter though and Doncaster are now 15th.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
DONCASTER BOSS PAUL DICKOV:
"Considering the way we played in the first half,it was a shame to be 1-0 down.I felt we conceded by putting in far too many long balls to the opponents."
"At the interval we spoke about a few things and it worked. We showed more character in the second half and equalised. The signs look good and it is now twice in four days we've been a goal down and come back to get something."
