BLACKBURN SNAP UP BROWN

Blackburn Rovers have successfully signed Doncaster striker Chris Brown on a free transfer after he rejected a new offer from the recently relegated side.

Doncaster-born Brown spent three years at the Keepmoat, scoring regularly since arriving from Preston North End in June 2011.

The 29-year-old told BBC Lancashire that the ambition around the club was his reason for joining.

"The club here want promotion and this would be an achievement for me,"he said.

"It was nice to play with Paul Dickov and my local club, but when I spoke to Blackburn and the owner there,it felt right to move and it's best for me."
