Iran have been the surprise team to qualify, finishing second in their group under the leadership of former assistant to Alex Ferguson,Carlos Quieroz.South Korea finished top.
Europe have had some new faces joining the above countries in the pot.England are already on their way there, with Bosnia and Herzegovina joining shortly beforehand thanks to the goals of Edin Džeko. As always,Louis Van Gaal's Netherlands rounded up as top of their group and Germany never cease to fail along with the Azzuri(Italy).Euro 2012 and 2010 World Cup winners Spain will go into the finals with the reassurance that Vincente Del Bosque is staying as coach.
However,it has been a Belgium team inspired by the likes of Premier League talents Vincent Kompany,Kevin Mirallas,Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku who go to Brazil, despite losing a recent friendly.Russia will host the competition in 2018 and have ultimately embraced Fabio Capello's management skills. The introduction of younger players has helped-Nikolai Fayzulin is an example.
The last time Costa Rica were in the World Cup was in 2006,and they had host nation Germany in their group. They lost 4-2 to the giants. They will join Jürgen Klinsmann's USA in the draw for the World Cup group stages. The other nation from North America to be in the draw is Honduras. They have notably Wigan's Hendry Thomas in defence.
It is an all familiar affair to who's packing for Brazil next summer-Argentina.Their last campaign saw them crash out at the hands of Germany but they would like to avoid demolition like that again. The other two to join are Ecuador with Antonio Valencia a regular starter and Colombia, who will be known for Falçao's slick skills and tricks.
