POSSIBLE CENTRE HALF LOAN DEAL?

With Rob Jones now out for up to eight weeks,Paul Dickov is hoping for an emergency replacement to come in time for Saturday's short trip to Barnsley.

Jamie McCombe is still on the road to a recovery,so the options available are Northern Irishman Luke McCullough,left-back Bongani Khumalo and young Liam Wakefield.

Dickov has expressed it is his desire to delve into the loan market to get a quick temporary replacement.McCullough was dropped for the reserves due to the lack of defence.Dickov knows too well how difficult this loan deal'll be to complete.

"All managers know how tedious and hard it is to get loans sorted and by no stretch of the imagination is it a straightforward transaction",admits Dickov to the Star.

"I have got some targets who I'm keeping an eye on and some contacts with the other various clubs in the Football League pyramid. It is a difficult decision for me to make in time for the game."
