Q AND A WITH DICKOV

Many fans from across the country and some Doncaster supporters have written questions to the club for a special Q and A session with Rovers manager Paul Dickov.

Here are the best ones he answered at his home in Cheshire.

Who was your toughest opponent?

PD:I'd say David Beckham.I played against him in Manchester derbies when I was a Manchester City player.Everything he did was eye-opening,he was the prime example of a top midfielder.

Today,I try and use his influence on youth players so they can hopefully strive to be of a similiar character. The influence he had back then put Manchester on the map and he obviously had great successes.

Where was the strangest place you've ever been recognised?

PD:Bulgaria.I went on a holiday when I was about 24 years old with some old schoolmates.Whilst I was in a supermarket, some kids saw me and said,"Manchester City!".It was a nice moment.

If you could send anything to Room 101,what would it be?

PD:Pundits who have potential to be managers but never bother to grasp the chance.People like Alan Shearer, who have brief experience but don't continue with a managerial career. It irks me a little bit somehow.

Who is your best ever signing?

PD:Tough one.My best signing has to be either between Robbie Simpson or Lee Croft at Oldham. They both became popular with the fans and they were good free transfers.Even better for the wheeling and dealing!

Which do your prefer,PS3 or XBox?

PD:My eldest boy is always on FIFA on the XBox and I play with him,so I'll say that.

Does anyone in terms of young talent have great future potential?

PD:I'm close mates with Uwe Rösler(Wigan manager and former teammate) and his son Colin is an undergraduate at Manchester City. He's named after Colin Bell and is following his father which is a good sign.I feel bad for young Colin when my wife tells me she remembers him as a baby!
